How did I get this hobby?
By coincidence that is. Right after I bought my first own pc, somewhere
in the beginning of 2002, a technical problem occured which I couldn't
solve myself back then.
It seemed to me that google would find the answer for me and thrue and
it led me to the dutch computer forum gathering.tweakers.net
where I actually did find the answer I was looking for.
One led to another and I started nosing around on GOT (gathering of tweakers)
and eventually got to the Casemodding and Electronics subforum.
I almost immediatly got infected with the casemod virus and decide that
I wanted to mod my case as well.
After nosing around on the forum for a few more months I bought myself
a Thermaltake X-Aser II pre-modded case and put some standard lights in
it etc. Soon enough it all got out of control, of which you can find the
result on this site.
What's behind me?
Like I said above I once started with a case that was mostly Pre-modded
out of the box. I only added a few details to it. But it didn't take long
for me to realise that this wasn't real casemodding.
That's why, after working on it for only a little while and buying my
second pc which needed a case as well, I stopped working on it.
For this second pc I bought a Chieftec bigtower case which had plenty
of room as well as a lot of modding potential. I had been working on this
case for about a year when I bought my 3d pc and needed yet another case.
I didn't think it was pratical to have three big cases next to eachoterh
so I decided to sell my two current cases and start on a project which
could contain all my systems with which I eventually even became the winner
of tBCL
(the Benelux Casemod League) 2006.
For further details about my casemod past you can pay a visit to my
project pages.
What is yet to come?
At this moment the plan for a new project is about doen. 3D renders are
ready, the way it will be build is figured out etc. etc. The only question
is if it will be possible for me to start thje project, if not I'm going
to think of a less rigorous project, because my fingers are itching to
start something new.
