Because some people where curious about it I decided to dedicate a post to my order of a GWeike CNC router
Introduction
In short: I was looking into buying a 60x90cm CNC router. After a little research I ordered an at G-Weike (http://www.wklaser.com)
And another forum member of cnczone.nl was also interested and ordered the same machine and in addtion a CO2 laser machine
Here’s the page on the G-Weike website with the default configuration: http://wklaser.com/pro_199.aspx
Specifications
Standard the machine is supplied with 2Nm NEMA23 stppers, 1605 ball screws, round supported guides on x and y and round not supported guides on the z-axis.
We ordered the machine with a slightly different configuration:
• 20mm PMI MSA square Linear guides on x- y & z
• 2005 German high precision ballscrew on x-axis
• 2005 German high precision ballscrew on y-axis
• 1605 German high precision ballscrew on z-axis
• stepper motors – Skywork 86BYG450A (3,5Nm)
• stepper drivers – Leadshine M542
• limit swiches (proximity, 1 per axis)
• power supply (40V for stepper motors & 24V for other electronics)
• all wiring, etc.
• ACD for z-axis spindle (tool setter)
• 1,5kW water cooled spindle with Fuling DZB200 inverter
• the machine comes with accessories(ER 11 collets, 16pcs of router bits etc.)
• Netto weight: 280Kg
Next to that we ordered the machines without a controller since we both intended to use an EdingCNC controller.
With the change of specs the machine body that is used is also different than the model shown on the website.
Photo’s during production
We requested photo’s of the production of the machines. This is the final photo serie we recieved before the machines where shipped:
Cost
After some neogtiation we payed $ 2300,- FOB (Free On Board) which is about € 1790,-
Costs of transport and VAT
By advise of another cnczone.nl forum member we decided to let Norbert Dentressangle handle the full transport from the port in China to our doorsteps. This turned out to be a very good choice due to excellent service!
In total the transport for one machine from door to door including VAT and all other surcharges where € 845,- with which the total machine costs ended up at € 2635,-.
The above costs however are with transport of 3 machines in total. In case of a single machine one should count in an extra € 100,- approx.
Time between ordering and receiving the machine
We ordered the machines on march 26th after which production was started
They where shipped on april 22nd and arrived in Rotterdam on june 3d
Delivery on our doorstep was on june 10th.
Some photo’s of how the machine arrived:
