Normally I don’t submit any designs I made for work, but this time I’ll make an exception. For a logotype I’m designing I made some waterdrops in Illustrator because I needed unlimited scaling.
I built our own photobooth out of scaffolding wood for our wedding. For the booth I also did the graphic design for the ready screen and a layout for the prints. 3 pictures where taken of the visitors and placed into this design. After it was printed people could write … Continue reading →

This is an unfinished artwork I found in one of my archives. “Unfinished” because I couldn’t get it to turn out the way I wanted, but still I found it worthy posting it.
It’s been a while since I had time to do some free designing, been busy (and still am) with all kinds of other things, but this week I found some time to work out an idea.

In this design, inspired by the amazing original photo by lusi, I tried to create a setting in which it looks like the angel is born from te wood, but on the other hand also looks to be captured by it.
I wanted to experiment with a manually traced image and overlayed “Blend” lines, this is the result.
A photo/vector combination. This started out with the idea of a hand appearing out of a spraycan’s spray drawing “something” Credits for the 3 original photo’s go to the photographers of course: FOTOCROMO, lusi & zeafonso
This work started out as an experiment trying something new/some new techniques to create smoke in Illustrator. Eventually it turned out into something completely different than I intented and eventhough it started as an experiment I thought it was worth submitting it Completely vector based.
This work is based on a phrase I heard in a dutch TV show: “Alleen zij die geleden hebben weten de echte betekenis van lijden!” Translated it means something like: “Only those who suffered know the true meaning of suffering” I thought it was a great (but unfortunatelly true) theme … Continue reading →
