Birth of an Angel
In this design, inspired by the amazing original photo by lusi, I tried to create a setting in which it looks like the angel is born from te wood, but on the other hand also looks to be captured by it.

I wanted to experiment with a manually traced image and overlayed “Blend” lines, this is the result.

This work started out as an experiment trying something new/some new techniques to create smoke in Illustrator. Eventually it turned out into something completely different than I intented and eventhough it started as an experiment I thought it was worth submitting it Completely vector based.
